Room 2 was a nice intimate space to perform in and really connect with an audience. For the most part the audio setup worked fine, with only some cable trouble from the mic (which is to be expected with its consistent use.) The lighting was sufficient, although one of the lamps died and I ended up purchasing another one for the room, but we ended up doing a very dark show for one night. There was occasional noise spill from Room 1 but nothing that we couldn’t cope with. Whilst our time slot was late, we found the lowest attendance number for a show was 12 people mid-week and we enjoyed the late night spot.

The Staff at Black Market were lovely and very helpful. We found Black Market’s setup great for flyering, having one person outside the venue bringing people in and one person inside exit flyering in the lobby and bar. There was a real sense of camaraderie between the Black Market acts, helping each other out and recommending each other’s shows to punters. It was a terrific place to have a show.
