THE VENUE:
George Next Door is a pop-up venue that exists during the Fringe only. An old office converted into 3 performance spaces (this report will concentrate on Space M), there is a large central lobby with a bar that is sometimes staffed and toilets. It is accessible from George the Fourth Bridge and the Cowgatehead complex, giving it a healthy amount of footfall.

THE SPACE:
Space M is the room immediately on the left as you enter the lobby. It is very long and very thin. It can seat about 40 in about 10 rows of 4 each. It was important to us to encourage people to sit nearer the front to get the most out of the show. Because the room is immediately on the left it was possible for people to walk right past it! So some ushering was required. The room has a small backstage cupboard, big enough to house props and be a good dressing room.

VENUE STAFF:
Didn't see too much of them, but they were without exception lovely and welcoming.

HOW WE ADVERTISED:
Flyering George IV Bridge before the show, WBB and exit flyering our solo shows.

AUDIENCE NUMBERS:
Usually good, about 20.

BUCKETS:
Pretty decent, between £30 and £40 on average.

TECH SET UP:
Basic but comprehensive.

ADMIN AND COMMUNICATION:
Elise was a fantastic Venue Captain and we always felt in the loop.
