For the subject of your post use SHOW TIME and SHOW TITLE - e.g. 15:00 Funny as Muck

In the body of your post, please be as detailed as possible. Please describe:

- The venue - The venue is a church hall type area, with people coming and going all day, nice space with quite a few 'regular' sorts.
- The performance area - The main performance area was a huge hall. This is beautiful and probably perfect for a dance show or similar, however the acoustics were pretty bad and for us there was too much space, so we decided to use the little back room, which seated about 27 with a good stage space. all the rooms were laminate floor and white walls and looked very neat. There is a cafe in the front.
- The team of staff at the venue - The shows finished later than the cafe would usually close, this meant the staff were - understandably - quite keen to get out, which made our packing up a little guilty. The Cafe were very helpful though, they laminated our posters and put them outside on there boards with a 'tonight' banner, we got a discount at the cafe and they were helpful with everything they asked
- How you advertised your show - Advertised the show in the brochure(for some of the dates, however none of these shows were in Cafe Camino due to a last minute venue change) Flyered with some street theatre and postered every day.
- How your shows went in terms of audience numbers - We usually had between 15 and 30, one night we had 2! but thats just the nature of the fringe.
- Your show itself - We spent a lot of money on halogen lights, this was kind of a mistake. We bought cheap halogens from tesco on a stand, I think it contributed to the show, and helped making it more into a stage space, however just one double halogen on a stand would suffice
- Buckets - We had a good, generous audiences most nights.
- Technical set-up at the venue - As mentioned before the large room was too big for us, but would be fine for some shows, and the back room was great. there was no lighting, it was mainly just the room, with the PA. The rooms have huge windows and flood with light, which is something worth noting regarding tech for your show.
- Admin & Communication process (between Free Fringe, Captains, Venues and you) - Cafe Camino was often missed off lists, I was never made aware of a team captain or even other shows happening in there.
- Any other learning points for anyone involved - Its a lovely venue, which can be perfect for any show with some thought, its a very diverse space and as long as you factor in the light, acoustics and space, you could create a fantastic show in there.
